New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, in the wake of Independence Day, has already beefed up security before entering the metro stations.

Train services will ply normally, and there will be no restrictions on entry and exit on Wednesday; however, some entry and exit gates of Lal Quila, ITO, Delhi Gate and Jama Masjid metro stations will remain closed for security reasons while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to give his speech and address the whole nation from the Red Fort.

Metro services between Indraprastha and Mandi House will also remain suspended for a while when the Prime Minister’s convoy passes through Tilak Marg on the morning of August 15.

Parking facilities at the Delhi metro stations will not be available from 6 am on Tuesday till 2 pm on Wednesday.
