While PM Narendra Modi’s Digital India initiatives have captured the imagination of the nation’s young, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has time and again found himself on the wrong side of the digital privacy debate. While taking consent from people should be as permissible as giving it to them, the cons of collecting this data seem to have been forgotten. Experts claim that data mining is one of the serious issues that will arise out of especially Aadhaar.
