Bellandur of Tamil Nadu: Toxic froth in Thirumanimutharu rises to 15 feet (Video)

Dying industries in and around Tamil Nadu's Salem released untreated chemical-mixed water into the river. The continuous discharge has caused this toxic froth in river Thirumanimutharu in Namakkal, say reports.

On Tuesday (October 9), residents living around river Thirumanimutharu in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, witnessed toxic froth rising to a height of 15 feet. The situation seems similar to that of Bellandur lake in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The reason behind this poisonous foam is because of the dying industries in and around Tamil Nadu's Salem that released untreated chemical mixed water into the river, say reports. Heavy rain which lashed the district the past few days has caused left the froth flowing out to the roads inconveniencing commuters.
