The bride of AIADMK MLA S Eswaran of the Bhavanisagar constituency who went missing just ten days before the wedding has been traced back now.

Santhya, MCA graduate from Gobichettipalyam was set to get married to MLA Eswaran on September 12.

Eswaran is 43, whereas the girl is 20 years younger to him. The marriage was to be held at Bannari Amman temple near Sathyamangalam in Erode district, Tamil Nadu. But on September 1, some days before the wedding, the bride stepped out of the house, saying she would go and visit her sister. The arrangements for the wedding were in full swing. Guests were being invited to the wedding and all other arrangements were also being held.

But the bride, who left claiming she is visiting her sister, did not return home, nor was she found in her sister's house. Her phone was switched off since the time she left home.

In fact, Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam too were supposed to grace the wedding.

Her parents filed a complaint with Kadathur police and after intense search by the special teams formed, she was traced on September 5 at a friend's house.

Soon after, Santhya is said to have told that she did not want to marry the MLA as he was 20 years older than her. Finding no other way to avoid the wedding, she went into hiding at one of her friend's house.

As the issue has became public now, Santhya will not be forced to get married to the MLA. But reports from AIADMK say that the MLA will get married at the same venue and on the same date, but to a different bride.
