New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) may have tough days ahead, especially after the ministry of home affairs (MHA) has granted permission to prosecute AAP senior leader Satyendra Kumar Jain on the request sent by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Last year, CBI filed a case against Jain and others for amassing disproportionate assets.

"MHA has granted sanction of the prosecution to prosecute Satyendra Kumar Jain in a case registered by CBI, in August 24, 2017, for acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income,” MHA official said.

According to sources, CBI will now interrogate him and he may even get arrested.

CBI recovered crucial documents related to two properties and a photo copy of power attorney of a property, all in Karala village in Delhi. According to the reports, Jain brought the land worth crores in his wife’s name.

Income tax also claimed that he was involved in Hawala trading through a local trader.
