Boy falls into Patna’s open drain, not traced yet
Patna: 10-year-old Deepak Kumar fell into an open drain adjacent to a sump house at Punachak in Patna on Saturday at 1.30 PM. His eight-year-old friend Rahul, who was accompanying him said that a cow came in their way and while escaping, Deepak lost balance and fell into the drainage. The drain is said to have been kept open for years. Residents claim that a girl and a man had also had lost their lives in the drain. Deepak is a Class 2 student at Balak Madhya Vidyalaya at Punaichak. At least 20 divers of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are trying to trace Deepak. The sump house is run by the Bihar Rajya Jal Parishad.
