Goshamahal: Chandramukhi Muvvala, the only transgender candidate contesting in the Telangana Assembly elections, who went missing on Wednesday morning, has resurfaced, according to sources. She, along with her friends and advocate, appeared at the Banjara Hills police station in Hyderabad, reports said.
Though more details on this are not available, it is said that Muvvala is now in a completely disoriented state.
Muvvala, is contesting from Goshamahal constituency on a Bahujan Left Front ticket against BJP MLA T Raja Singh, Congress’ Mukesh Goud and Prem Singh Rathore of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). She went missing on Wednesday morning after people saw her leave the house with some men in a hurry.
Muvvala is known to fight for the transgender community. By contesting, she wanted to prove a point to take up the cause of the community and give them equal chance and opportunity.
On Monday, Muvvala had started campaigning for the December 7 elections. On Tuesday, a missing person’s complaint was filed at the Banjara Hills police station based on which an FIR was registered.
The transgender community of Hyderabad and Muvvala’s mother Anitha had filed a habeas corpus writ petition with the state high court on Wednesday.
