Singer Sona Mohapatra while calling out Kailash Kher for alleged sexual misconduct, had also hinted at Malik being a 'serial predator'
New Delhi: After narrowly avoiding being named and shamed when singer Sona Mohapatra shared her #MeToo story, singer Anu Mallik is now battling serious allegations of being a 'paedophile'.
It all started when singer Shweta Pandit shared her sexual harassment story in the hands of Malik in 2001. Shweta alleged that Anu Malik had told her that he will give her a song with singers Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan "...but first give me a kiss now". Pandit was 15 years old at the time of the incident.
Had to go back to my worst memory as a teenage girl today to write this and speak up - its now or never. This is my #MeToo and have to warn young girls about #AnuMalik & let you know your #TimesUp @IndiaMeToo— Shweta Pandit (@ShwetaPandit7) October 17, 2018
Thank you @sonamohapatra for speaking up about him & supporting this pic.twitter.com/e261pGQyEq
Meanwhile, Malik's lawyer Zulfiquar Memon refuted the accusations saying, "The allegations made against my client (Anu Malik) are emphatically denied as completely false and baseless. My client respects the #metoo movement but to use this movement to start a character assassination mission is obnoxious."
