Ingredients you are going to need

•    300 grams of paneer
•    4 tablespoons of oil
•    Minced garlic
•    Green chilli
•    Ginger
•    Onions
•    Fresh coriander leaves
•    Spinach
•    Mint leaves
•    Cinnamon
•    2 dried red chillies
•    2 small cloves
•    1 large cardamom
•    1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
•    ¾ cup of yogurt
•    2 tablespoons of coriander powder
•    ½ tablespoons of turmeric powder
•    ½ tablespoon of black pepper powder
•    1 tablespoon of cumin powder
•    4 tablespoons of cream
•    1 tablespoon of dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
•    ½ tablespoon of garam masala
•    Salt to taste

Follow these steps

Step 1: Cut paneer into small pieces, or shapes of your desired choice. Make sure they are not thinly cut. To maintain their softness, soak them in saltwater for 3-4 minutes. Next, heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the paneer slices until they turn golden brown. After frying them, remove them from the pan and set them aside.

In the remaining oil, saute 5 chopped onions along with garlic, ginger, and green chilli. Add spinach, mint, and coriander leaves and stir for 1-3 minutes. Once the leaves soften, turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool.

Step 2: Grind the mixture into a coarse paste. Heat two tablespoons of oil in the same pan and fry cloves, cinnamon, two dried red chillies, cumin seeds, black pepper, and black cardamom. Then, proceed to add the paste to the pan over low heat. Stir it for a minute and then allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt with garam masala, coriander powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and black pepper powder, turmeric powder, and salt according to taste.

Step 3: Add half a cup of water to the gravy to lower the temperature. Then, proceed to add the yogurt mixture into the gravy. Stir continuously until the oil separates from the mixture. Add half a cup of hot water and allow it to cook for 5 minutes. Add 4-5 tablespoons of cream to the gravy, and continuously stir. Finally, add the paneer slices to the gravy and mix thoroughly.

Step 4: Allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes. Turn off the heat and add kasuri methi and coriander leaves on top for added flavour. Your Paneer Hyderabadi dish is ready! Serve it to your guests with paratha or naan for best taste.
