Brother of composer Amaal Malik, Armaan has taken to social media to share his battle with mental health issues after Canadian singer Justin Bieber opened up about his depression treatment.
Mumbai: Although actor Uday Chopra recently passed off his 'I'm Not Okay' tweets as 'dark humour', musician Armaan Mallik has opened up about his struggle with depression using the same line.
Turns out the melodious voiced crooner has been battling mental health issues for a while now and decided to open up about them courtesy Canadian singer Justin Bieber's post. In a series of tweets, he wrote: "I’ve always been honest about my feelings in general so yes I’VE NOT BEEN OK for a while now & I know my fans have been worried about me. I resonated a lot with Justin’s recent post where he said he’s battling a lot of internal issues. I have been too and it’s not easy coz even if you have people you love around you, you need to sort out stuff YOURSELF!! But just wanna tell all of you, I have been super patient, I’ve tried my best to be positive & that’s what has gotten me through a lot of my low phases. So don’t need to worry. It’s gonna be a KICKASS 2019 and EVER YEAR"

Although he did end on a positive note, his fans rallied around him to support the musician by posting messages asking him to stay strong and take care of his health.
Musician Justin Bieber had also opened up about his battle with mental issues and is reportedly undergoing treatment right now. Early last month, he had written, "Just wanted to keep you guys updated a little bit hopefully what I’m going through will resonate with you guys. Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird.. I always bounce back so I’m not worried just wanted to reach out and ask for your guys to pray for me."
Now, a month later, he had taken to Instagram to reveal why he needed the therapy and asked his fans to be patient, writing: " have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep-rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be."
So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album .. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour. I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be. Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable.... the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. 👑 but I will come with a vengeance believe that.. (grammar and punctuation will be terrible pretend it’s a text where u just don’t care).
