Bengaluru: The Indian Railways has always gone the extra mile to ensure that the passengers have a safe and a happy journey.

In the latest example of this phenomenal gesture by the Railways, a passenger named Ravi, took to twitter to inform the authorities that his pregnant wife had twisted her ankle while getting down from a foot-over bridge.

Once the message was sent and seen by the authorities, action was immediately taken.

As reports state, Indian Railways swung into action and asked the Divisional Railway Manager at Bhavnagar to immediately look into the issue. The DRM Bhavnagar soon responded to the aggrieved passenger saying that necessary instruction has been given to the concerned.

Reports further added that help arrived in less than an hour to set things right for the aggrieved.

Touched by the gesture of the Railways, the passenger profusely thanked the organisation.

The concerned minister reemphasised that Indian Railways is committed to providing passenger amenities and support in every situation.

He said, “I am glad that the readiness of our railway staff helped you immediately. Indian Railways will always continue to work for the benefit of passengers,” said Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

Under Narendra Modi government, the way Railways has transformed itself to meet and resolve the grievances of passengers has been incredible and has won several praises by users.
