It is a shame that scam calls and cyber frauds have become so common these days. Many people have experienced them at various moments in their day-to-day lives, and unfortunately, a few become their targets.

One such fraud call was received by Charanjeet Kaur, a fitness influencer on Instagram with around 96K followers. She posted a video on the platform exposing the scammers pretending to be police officers.

The caption of her post said, "Police ki dp dekhke log aise moments mei bhot dar jaate hain fir jald baazi mei bina soche smjhe paise transfer kardete hai and isi chakkaar mei fraud ka shikaar ban jaate hain. I knew about this scam pehle se islie mai bach gyi. Please share this among all your family and friend circle taaki wo aise scams se bach sake!"

The scammer in the call can be heard talking about arresting Charanjeet, threatening to share the news of the arrest with the media, and demanding a 'compromise' of Rs. 30,000. What the scammers did not know was that they were speaking directly to Charanjeet herself. They even used a fake police officer profile picture on WhatsApp to make it look more legitimate.

The video has gone viral and has around 10 million views currently. Many individuals commented on the video sharing similar experiences and how these calls have become a nuisance lately.

Talking about digital safety and privacy these days, one user wrote, "Its not a matter to laugh off, its serious, how are they getting these numbers and details of our family ??! They can even track us too, guys beware and immediately report these numbers on CyberCrime portal".
