Bengaluru: Uttar Pradesh tableau depicting the cultural heritage of Ayodhya at the Republic Day parade has won the first prize.

It is to be noted that the UP tableau was chosen as the best among the tableaux of 17 states and Union territories.

The UP tableau had depicted Maharshi Valmiki sitting at the front writing the Ramayana, exhibited several cultural aspects of the state and religious scenes, including the Ayodhya Deepotsav, embracing of Nishadraj by Lord Ram, Lord Ram eating Shabri’s berries, the salvation of Ahilya, Lord Hanuman bringing Sanjeenvani, Jatayu-Ram Samvad and Ashok Vatika.

The UP tableau’s main attraction was the replica model of the proposed Ram Mandir at the Ram Janmabhoomi site that is under construction.

It was in November 2019 that the Supreme Court of India decreed the land under dispute to the Hindus, asking that a temple be built, for which a committee too had to be set up.

The fund collection drive for the construction of a grand temple at Ayodhya is going on in full swing.

Volunteers of the construction trust have been going around the country, appealing people to donate their might.

Celebrities, business tycoons donated crores of rupees for the grand construction. One diamond in Gujarat donated Rs 11 crore, while a few businessmen in Hyderabad donated the same amount.

In all, it is a global movement.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the bhumi pujan on August 5, paving way for the construction of the grand temple.
The temple will be completed in 40 months at a cost of Rs 1100 crore.

Unfortunately, the mob violence that started after the Republic Day parade caused a lot of violence in the entire New Delhi. The Delhi police have filed 25 FIRs against several people including farmer leaders.
