Kochi: As transgender people can be seen in all fields in the city, these two trans women have done something unique. They have launched an IT company in Kochi, Kerala, to empower their community people (LGBT).

Tahirah Ayeez and Theertha Sarvika had to quit their job as they revealed their identity to the public. After this incident, the computer science engineer and the literature student together thought of inventing something of their own.

The duo met on Facebook and pitched the idea of creating something of their own for their community. Within days, the duo named their startup as Transysco Solutions. The startup delves into artificial intelligence-based solutions, free career guidance for school children, website designing, and skill set developments.

Transysco Solutions will be consisting of both transgender people and others. The startup has already begun with its training programmes for their employees in Chennai and will be officially inaugurated in Kochi in the next three months.

The main issue the duo faced was raising funds for their startup. They had approached the chairman of the transgender cell of the Kerala Social Justice Department seeking initial funding of Rs 20 lakh. But they were not ready to provide the funds as they thought it may be risky too.

Later, the duo contacted some NRI and Arab persons and convinced them. Then they got some funds.

A group of transgender persons are all set to launch Ruchimudra Hotel in Kochi, Kerala. Ruchimudra will run with the help of the Ernakulam district panchayat. Ruchimudra is one of the first hotels in the country, which will be completely taken care of by transgender persons. One of the exciting factors of Ruchimudra is it will serve traditional cuisine made with organic vegetables and self-prepared spices.

Two transgender persons associated with Ruchimudra are chefs with years of experience.
