Bengaluru: Tirupati laddoos are a big hit among devotees. Devotees consume it as prasadam and feel happy.

But all thanks to the lockdown, the Tirupati temple has remained closed in order to prevent the spread of the dreaded coronavirus. So devotees have been unable to lay their hands on the tasty laddoos.

But now, there is no need to fret as the temple has made arrangements for the delivery of the laddoos to devotees in various places.

As reported by a popular website, the temple has made arrangements for the delivery of the laddoos in Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and all district headquarters in Andhra Pradesh.

What’s more! The temple has also decided to sell them at half the price. So a laddoo, which would cost Rs 50 would now cost only Rs 25. The weight of the sweet is 175 grams.

The website further added that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) said the decision has been taken owing to the uncertainty over reopening of temple premises for devotees.

The temple has been in the news as there were several reports that it had faced a huge cash crunch owing to the absence of devotees in the temple.

However, the website we referred to added that the temple refuted these claims and added that the e-donations have been much, much greater compared to earlier months.

It further noted that the online collection for April in 2020, at a total of Rs 1.97 crore has been Rs 18 lakh higher than what the temple collected in 2019.

Here’s how you can order it:

Devotees who would like to order the prasadam in bulk can contact the Srivari Temple Deputy EO on 9849575952 and Potu Peishkar on 9701092777, said temple authorities and collect the same from the TTD centres.
