Ayodhya: The ceremony of much-awaited Ayodhya Bhoomi pujan will begin in a few minutes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Lucknow and he will be flying ot Ayodhya to lay the foundation stone of the grand Ram temple.

Amid all the pujan hustle-bustle, every street in Ayodhya was seen illuminated with earthen lamps ahead of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Ram Temple on August 5.

The ceremony began at 8 am and will go on till 2 pm. However, the main pujan will be held at 12:30 PM, while PM Modi will lay the foundation stone at 12:40 PM.

Interestingly, the auspicious muhurtam for the Bhoomi Puja, according to reports, will be only for 32 seconds.

In wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, sanitisation work has been done at the Hanuman Garhi temple in the morning ahead of the Prime Minister's visit. Strict security and COVID-19 protocols will be followed at the temple.

The Saryu Ghat was seen decorated ahead of the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The grand event will be attended by 175 people, who figure in a select guest list of seers and politicians topped by PM Modi. Apart from PM Modi, the ceremony will be graced by Sri Ram Janambhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust chairman Nritya Gopal Das, RSS chief Bhagwat, UP Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath. Further, a total of 135 saints from different spiritual traditions have been extended an invitation to the event.
