Bengaluru: Entrepreneur India announced that Pratik Gauri  , Creator of 5th Industrial Revolution, was named Creative Entrepreneur of the year 2020 in the startup category The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world, and all things we were used to doing in a physical environment have now gone digital. Adapting to the changes, Entrepreneur India held its 10th annual edition of the Entrepreneur 2020 Conference and Awards online with the theme, ‘Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era’. 

 

The event saw participation of some of the esteemed names from various sectors. From the power couple Madhuri Dixit and Dr Shriram Nene to tabla maestro Bickram Ghosh, from fashion designer Manish Malhotra to exemplary leader Arundhati Bhattacharya graced the occasion. Serial social entrepreneur Pratik Gauri was named Creative Entrepreneur Of The Year in the Startup category. Gauri received the award virtually from Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO of Salesforce India and former chairperson of the State Bank of India. 

The prestigious awards recognised Gauri’s efforts since the last decade to create 5th Industrial Revolution. Through his largescale activations, he has successfully managed to mobilise millions of dollars towards impact using shared language of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. He has helped fortune 500 companies move their models from for-profit to for-benefit and proven that if you have a purpose, you can drive more revenue and profits. Delhi-based entrepreneur started his entrepreneurial journey when he was 16 years old and since then he has founded 8 purpose startups in the 5IR space. Having delivered more than 150 speeches in over 30 countries, Gauri is considered a global youth icon with a verified facebook page having more than 100,000 followers. 

Some of his projects which have positively impacted millions of people and gained media attention are Harpic’s Mission Paani, Happiness Curriculum which was visited by US President Trump, John Krasinski’s Some Good News, Launch of 5th Element Group in India, amongst others. Receiving the award, Gauri said, “I am humbled to receive this award and I thank Entrepreneur India for recognising my efforts to create 5IR.” “COVID-19 crisis will certainly expedite our progress from 4IR to 5IR”, he added. 

Some other awardees included individuals like Kunal Shah, Founder and CEO, CRED ; Manish Malhotra, Indian fashion designer ; Sanjeev Bikhchandhani, Founder, Info Edge India ; Dinesh Agarwal, Managing Director, India Mart ; Byju Raveendran, Founder, Byju’s ; and companies like Zomato, Winzo, Rapido, Razorpay, Lenskart, and Reliance Foundation.
