Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was one of the leaders in the freedom struggle. He was a prolific poet, writer, and an advocate of education for all. After India’s independence, he became the first Education Minister of the country. Proficient in multiple languages like Arabic, English, Urdu, Hindi, Persian, and Bengali, he brought several educational reforms in India. He passed away on February 22, 1958.
