New Delhi: The BJP has fielded senior Maharashtra leader Eknath Khadse's daughter, Rohini Khadse, for the Muktainagar constituency as it released its fourth list of candidates for the state Assembly polls.

The decision to field Rohini Khadse indicates that the party had succeeded in convincing her father, who is one of its senior-most leaders in the state.  Eknath Khadse has been sidelined following charges of irregularities when he was a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis government.

The BJP has yet not included Vinod Tawde, Prakash Mehta and Eknath Khadse's names in its lists of candidates who would be contesting the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

According to party sources, Eknath Khadse was told that he would not be given a ticket this time.

The BJP and the Shiv Sena are the main constituents of the ruling alliance in Maharashtra, which goes to polls on October 21.
