Jammu: Three Kashmir residents suspected of  aiding terror activities were arrested by the officials. The suspects were arrested on Thursday (September 26 ) when they were travelling in a truck on the Jammu-Pathankot highway.  

After questioning the arrested persons, raids were conducted in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir and neighbouring Punjab for their associates. Meanwhile, four more people have been detained and are being questioned.

The arrested persons are identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Nengroo, Riyaz of Pulwama and Mohammad Iqbal Rather of Budgam. The arrested persons are suspected to be part of a module involved in transporting terrorists and arms and ammunition to Kashmir Valley. 

In a similar incident, on September 23, Nissar Ahmad Sheikh, one of the conspirators, along with Nishad Ahmad and Azad Hussain, all residents of Kishtwar, were arrested for their involvement in the four terror cases which took place between November last year and September this year.

 On September 12, three JeM terrorists were arrested, along with a huge cache of arms and ammunition, during search of a truck in Kathua district. The truck was from Punjab and was heading to Kashmir when it was intercepted by the police.
