Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir): Three terrorists killed in  Bijbehara area in Anantnag are affiliated to the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), said Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The three have been identified as Nasir Chadru, Aqib Hajam and Zahid Hussain. They were killed in an encounter, said Jammu and Kashmir cops.

"#Bijbehara #encounter update: 3 killed terrorists identified as Nasir Chadru, Aqib Hajam and Zahid Hussain. Affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT. Involved in terror crimes as per police records. Arms and ammunition recovered. Case registered," a tweet by the official handle of the Kashmir Zone police read.

Since September 28, this is the sixth operation of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Meanwhile, the police had arrested two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorists from Ganderbal in Kashmir on Monday.

Three militants of HM were eliminated at Batote, Ramban district on September 28.

In another operation that started on September 29 and concluded on October 3 two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) members who had infiltrated were killed by the Indian forces.

Meanwhile, the police arrested JeM terrorist Mohsin Manzoor Salhea on October 6 and Ozaif linked to Lashkar-e-Toiba on October 7. Manzoor Salhea was allegedly plotting to kill a cop.
