Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced NITI Aayog’s new platform ‘NITI for States’, a digital platform that promotes the active participation of states in the decision-making and governance. Ashwini also introduced the ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ on the platform. It is a digital place where users can look at data and policies to interact with them and share information. 

NITI for States is a vault of different knowledge pieces from different sectors of the nation. Currently, it consists of 5000 policy documents, 7500 best practices, 1400 profiles, 900 data sets, and 350 NITI publications. The platform has data from different sectors of India like agriculture, health, education, energy, and more and will be a great tool for government decision-makers as it provides insights on the data collected and how to utilise it. 

CEO of NITI Aayog, B. V. R. Subrahmanyam emphasised the data moderation and collection aspect of the platform and how it presents data from different areas of the country in a cohesive way which makes it easy for officials to utilise and make educated resolutions. 

The Viksit Bharat Strategy Room also has voice-enabled AI to enhance user interaction. Several government bodies like 'Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT), National E-Governance Division (NeGD), and National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP) partnered and worked together to create this platform. 

According to the official website, NITI Aayog aims to monitor and evaluate the application and performance of programmes and initiatives and spotting areas for improvement and deliver resources where needed. NITI Aayog also known as National Institution for Transforming India, stands on the belief that ‘Strong States make Strong Nation’.
