Bengaluru: It’s tragic that as many as 22 lives were lost and 150 people were injured in the Delhi riots that took place for 3 long days.

The Delhi and Supreme Courts took harsh note of the widespread damage and loss of lives and have castigated the authorities for not effectively handling the issue.

Interestingly, the Delhi high court also played out the speeches of Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur and Parvesh Verma, asking the police authorities as to what action was taken.

But another hate speech in which a Muslim leader gave out a clarion call to 15 crore Muslims to hunt down 100 crore Muslims seems to have been forgotten.

In fact, BJP leader and former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has criticised CM Udhav Thackeray for keeping mum on the issue.

While addressing a gathering, he said, “We have taken Azadi and that which is not given, must be snatched. They are saying that we have sent our sisters ahead (Shaheen bagh). Only our tigresses have come out and you are sweating. Just understand if all of us come together then what will happen? We are 15 crores, but we are tough on the 100 crores, remember that."

Devendra Fadnavis reacted caustically to the statement by Pathan and Uddhav Thackeray’s attitude in not taking punitive action against Waris Pathan.
"Shiv Sena might be wearing bangles but we are not. If someone says something then he will be given answer in the same way. BJP has this much power."

The Delhi high court has asked the police authorities to file FIRs against hate speeches, but it said nothing against Waris Pathan.
National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, who has been handed over the task of reining in the vandals and troublemakers, is visiting the riot-hit areas.
