The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has filed a review petition against the Supreme Court judgement on Ayodhya. The AIMPLB is a private organization. It neither has elections, nor has government representation nor does it does it require any qualifications for membership. It is a non-profit organization set up 47 years ago during the Indira Gandhi era, whose validity is extremely questionable. The members of this organizations support terrorist outfits like Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). They portray themselves as the mouthpiece for the Indian Muslims which is nothing but a figment of their imagination. The court has given its judgement after years of accumulated evidences and hearings by a bench of five esteemed judges. Instead of gracefully accepting the judgement, they are now trying to instigate violence amongst people. This reminds me of a poem by Ramdhari Singh “Dinkar”.

This poem encapsulates how a certain group peacefully requests for what is rightfully theirs. There is no scope for a dispute here. So, it is only wise if we restrain ourselves from spreading hate and instigating any forms of violence. We should all gracefully accept the judgement and move on and be part of India’s economic progress. We should not indulge in petty politics and stay united, always!
