Selected from thousands of submissions, these 100 films represent the finest in independent and global short cinema. This marks the start of an exciting journey toward the spotlight, which will continue with upcoming selections of the Top 50, Top 21, and ultimately the Top 10 Short Films.

What's Next?

  • The Top 10 Short Films will be showcased at the DPIFF Short Film Screening Gala, on the Opening Night of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2026

These Top 10 films will be evaluated by 10 Consulate Generals from different countries in India, bringing a global perspective.

Awards & Recognition

The Best Short Film will be honoured on the DPIFF Grand Ceremony stage with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000.

Additional recognitions include:

  • 1st Runner- Up: ₹15,000
  • 2nd Runner- Up: ₹10,000
  • 3rd Runner- Up: ₹5,000

All winners will receive a trophy and official recognition for their outstanding contribution to cinema.
