New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take charge of the NDA in Bihar before the Assembly elections are announced. Before the imposition of the code of conduct, PM Modi will launch Rs 16,000 crore schemes in Bihar in the next 10 days.

During this time, he will also interact with the people of Bihar during different programs. All events will be held virtually through videoconferencing.

These multiple projects will improve infrastructure and ease of living for the people of Bihar. These projects pertain to various sectors like LPG pipeline, LPG bottling plant, sewage treatment plan under Namami Gange, water supply schemes, river front development project, new railway line, railway bridge, electrification of various sections, construction of highways and bridges.

According to sources, the total cost of these projects exceeds Rs 16,000 crore, thus leveraging public expenditure to act as a major driver of growth in times of COVID-19.

According to Election Commission sources, election notification will be issued in the first week of October.

According to sources, though the NDA will contest elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar in the state, the basis of the functioning of the Modi government among the common people will be kept as the midpoint. It is believed to be a strategy to counter anti-incumbency against Nitish Kumar.

PM Modi can also hold more than two dozen virtual rallies between elections. Elections in the state are expected to be held in two phases after Durga Puja and before Diwali.
