Reliance Industries Limited is set to launch an AI model named ‘Hanooman’ next month, as part of their AI project BharatGPT. The chatbot is being developed in collaboration with eight universities. Last week, the company made the announcement about the project with a presentation showcasing the features of the AI chatbot.

11 languages

Remarkably, this AI model is designed to communicate in 11 languages. During the presentation, one of the presenters demonstrated an interaction with the chatbot in Tamil language. Additionally, a developer from Hyderabad demonstrated how to use it for writing computer codes.

Speech-to-text function

This AI model is scheduled for launch next month in March. It has been developed with the collaboration of IIT Bombay, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, and the Government of India. Ganesh Ramakrishna, Chairman of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at IIT Bombay, mentioned that this AI chatbot will also feature speech-to-text function.

Hanooman

The American artificial intelligence research company, OpenAI, developed an AI chatbot called ChatGPT, which was introduced in November 2022. It is already a popular AI chatbot, and the global public is eager to see whether Reliance’s Hanooman would be able to compete with it.
