Bengaluru: Arvind Kejriwal came in for heavy criticism as his government got into a controversy as their print ad referred to Sikkim as an independent country.

In a shocking move, the ad shows Sikkim as a separate country along with Nepal and Bhutan.

In an advertisement published in newspapers by the Delhi government, Sikkim has been described as a separate country along with Nepal and Bhutan.

The advertisements in the newspapers were published in order to recruit volunteers for the Civil Defense corps.

In the first place, Kejriwal has come under fire for his inefficient handling of the pandemic in the national capital. Now, this advertisement which shows him in a poor light has given enough and more ammunition for the opposition parties to latch on to this faux pas and put Kejriwal in a corner.

As reported by Times Now, speaking on the issue BJP leader Kapil Mishra said that at a time when China is laying claim on Sikkim, the Kejriwal government has betrayed the nation and has committed treason by publishing this advertisement.

It should be noted that this controversy comes at a time when tension is gradually building up between the Indian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) after their recent clash in Ladakh and Sikkim along the Sino-India border.

Both sides have brought in additional troops just days after they were involved in two violent face-offs in which personnel from both sides sustained injuries.

Arvind Kejriwal government has also faced a lot of flak for not handling the Delhi riots in an efficient manner. This gaffe will surely leave Arvind Kejriwal and his coterie a lot embarrassed.
