As people across the country observed Janatha Curfew on Sunday, anti-CAA protestors continued to sit near Clock Tower in Lucknow to protest the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens, disobeying  Prime Minister Modi's call to observe Janatha Curfew on Sunday.

The rebellion of the protestors comes at a time when millions of people across the country stayed indoors, and streets wore a deserted look with barely any vehicles on the roads on Sunday in an unprecedented shutdown based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for a 'Janatha Curfew' to help check the spread of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the anti-CAA protestors at Shaheen Bagh have also decided to go against PM Modi’s call and have decided to continue with protests. But, the protestors have claimed that only less than 10 people will attend the protest. Other protestors have placed their shoes on cots to mark their presence in the protest.

Disregarding the importance of the Janatha Curfew, 50 women will continue to stage an indefinite sit-in protest over the Citizenship Amendment Act at the Park Circus Maidan in Kolkata, despite the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic, according to reports.
