New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (October 22) extended birthday greetings to BJP president and home minister Amit Shah, describing him as a hardworking person who plays an important role in keeping India secure.

Union home minister Amit Shah was born in then Bombay on October 22, 1964.

"Birthday greetings to my colleague in the Union Cabinet, a hardworking, experienced and an able organisational person. While playing an important role in government, he is making a valuable contribution to make India stronger and safer," the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter.

Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant also took to Twitter and said, "Heartiest birthday greetings to BJP's dynamic National President and Home Minister of India Shri  @AmitShah Ji. May God bless him with good health and more strength to serve the nation. #HBDayAmitShah."

 

Karnataka Lok Sabha MP Shobha Karandlaje also took to Twitter and termed Shah as the Iron Man of new India.

"Heartfelt birthday wishes to the Chanakya of Indian politics, Iron Man of new India Sri @AmitShah Ji. Under your leadership, @BJP4India & Bharat have reached greater heights. My prayers for ur good health&long life to ensure all the historic blunders be corrected. #HBDayAmitShah," the Karnataka MP tweeted.

 

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also wished Home Minister Amit Shah on his 55th birthday and lauded him from playing an important role in strengthening the country.

 

Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar wished Home Minister and said that his competent, dynamic and decisive leadership is an asset not just to the party, but also to the Nation.
