Guwahati/New Delhi: Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju's immovable asset has gone up from Rs 9.50 lakh in 2014 to Rs 49 lakh at present.

Rijiju has declared his assets in his affidavit filed with his nominations for the Arunachal West Lok Sabha seat.

According to the affidavit, Rijiju declared his movable assets worth Rs 1.03 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 49 lakh. His total asset has gone up from Rs 1.25 crore to Rs 1.52 crore at present.

In 2014, Rijiju had declared his total assets worth Rs 1.25 crore including three vehicles worth Rs 46.50 lakh but now Rijiju claimed that he did not own any vehicle, while he declared three vehicles owned by him and his wife in 2014. He also has Rs 2 lakh in hand currently.

He won the 2014 Lok Sabha election from Arunachal West constituency defeating his rival candidate from Indian National Congress’s Takam Sanjay by a margin of 43,738 votes.

On the other hand, Congress MP and former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi’s son Gaurav Gogoi’s total assets have gone up from Rs 54.73 lakh in 2014 to Rs 1.37 crore at present by increasing Rs 82.54 lakh within five years.

Gaurav Gogoi, who is contesting from Assam’s Kaliabor Lok Sabha constituency has declared his assets in his affidavit filed with the nomination papers for the Kaliabor Lok Sabha seat.

According to Gaurav Gogoi’s affidavit, he does not own any immovable assets and has Rs 1.9 lakh cash in hand and owned movable assets worth Rs 1.3 crore.
