1. Lights Off and Silence After 10 PM
According to Indian Railways rules, all lights except night lights must be turned off after 10 PM. Unnecessary noise, loud conversations, watching videos, or listening to music at high volume are strictly prohibited until 6 AM. Violations may result in penalties.

2. Charging Points Unavailable at Night
For safety reasons, charging points are deactivated from 11 PM to 5 AM to prevent fire hazards from continuous charging. Charge your devices before 11 PM.
3. Don't Accept Bedding from Strangers
In AC coaches, be cautious of strangers offering bedding. Only railway staff are authorized to provide these items. Report any such incidents to the RPF or TTE immediately.
4. Respect Lower Berth Passengers' Rest
Disturbing lower berth passengers at night is against the rules. Unauthorized sitting, forced seat exchanges, or repeatedly asking them to get up can lead to penalties.
5. Women's Safety Regulations
Men are prohibited from entering or loitering near women's coaches at night. Violations are punishable offenses.
6. No Unauthorized Vendors at Night
Avoid purchasing items from unauthorized vendors at night. They may sell counterfeit or substandard goods. Pre-order food through e-catering services.
7. Penalties for Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct
Consuming alcohol or causing disturbances under the influence is a punishable offense. Violators face fines or imprisonment under Section 145 of the Indian Railways Act, 1989.
8. No Ticket Checking After 10 PM
TTEs are not permitted to check tickets after 10 PM. Passengers can object if this occurs.
