Indian Railways to launch Super App; The only app you'll need for tickets, live train status and more

The new super app from Indian Railways is set to transform the ticket booking experience. As the government introduces this innovative app, Indian Railways continues to advance rapidly. In addition to services like Vande Bharat and Vande Metro, bullet trains will soon be introduced across the country. To match this expansion, efforts are being made to streamline ticket booking services. Customers will have access to both online and offline railway ticket booking options.

Until now, passengers have had to use different apps to book tickets, check PNR status, and monitor live train status, but that will soon change. Indian Railways is developing a new app that is set to revolutionise the ticket booking experience for users.

The government is set to launch a new railway super app. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that all railway services will be integrated into this app, enhancing the overall experience for passengers. While details about the app remain limited, he emphasised how it will transform rail travel for users. Currently, passengers primarily rely on the IRCTC app or website for booking train tickets.

Currently, to check train status or view PNR details, you need to download a separate app. However, with the introduction of the Railways' super app, this inconvenience will be eliminated. This app will centralise all functions, allowing users to handle everything from booking tickets to checking PNR status and live train updates in one place.

IRCTC currently leads the railway ticket booking sector, but the introduction of the super app is set to change that dynamic.
