This is quite a record. Teaser of Tamil film Sarkar starring popular star Ilayathalapathy Vijay, crossed one million views on Twitter in flat 10 minutes. The Diwali release is being eagerly awaited by fans of the south Indian superstar, who delivered the blockbuster, Mersal last year. 

Many celebrities have praised the teaser of Sarkar, which has Vijay and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair. The clip from AR Murugadoss's film has crossed 1.2 crore views so far.

In this teaser, Vijay introduces himself as a corporate criminal, who is on a mission of cleaning up the political system in the country. From his kickass entry to mindblowing lines and songs, people are just lapping up the teaser. Fans and Kollywood celebs have gone crazy for this new flick of the matinee idol that sees him reuniting with the Thuppaki and Kaththi hit-maker, AR Murugadoss. 

What is the movie (Sarkar) all about?
The clip also has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar narrating the entry of Vijay to India, Chennai. She tells that he is a 'corporate monster', who has destroyed all his competitors. Media turns curious to know about his arrival in Chennai and he tells that he is in the country to cast his vote.

Ilayathalapathy is shocked to learn that his vote has been cast by someone else. What follows next is his battle against the politicians. Vijay is looking very stylish in the formal suits that he is sporting in Sarkar. We loved his salt and pepper look in the movie. Keerthy Suresh is the leading lady of the film.

The look of Vijay's character is inspired by Sundar Pichai. This was revealed by AR Murugadoss, who said that the team might meet the Google CEO after the release of the film. He described Vijay's character as, "When we see two dinosaurs fight, there will be one that we want to see winning. He's that dinosaur in the film." 

The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu and others.
