Director AR Murugadoss's Sarkar faced the wrath of AIADMK government who alleged that his movie content criticises the government's welfare scheme introduced by former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

However, Sarkar film has amassed more than Rs 150 crore in the South India belt and is going strong despite the controversies. The entire team gathered at a plush venue in Kovalam Beach for a small get together.

AR Murugadoss, AR Rahman, Keerthy Suresh, Thalapathy Vijay were present at the party to cut the celebratory cake. Rahman, who scored tunes for the movie, took to Instagram to post pictures from the party. He also shared a glimpse of the cake which was decorated with figurines of mixie, grinder and the finger used for voting in elections.

As we know, the film courted a lot of controversies due to scenes where politicians generally give mixie-grinder, and other freebies were shown as destroyed.

Within minutes of posting the photo, it went viral on social media.
