Last week, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh flew to Italy for their wedding and now, first pictures of the venue, where the preparations are going on in full swing, have already started doing the rounds on the internet.

Lake Como is one of the famous luxury getaways since Roman times. The power couple is all set to tie the knot there. It will be held in the stunning Villa del Balbianello which is located on the tip of the small wooded peninsula of Dosso d'Avedo overlooking Lake Como. The wedding festivities will start off on November 13 with the sangeet ceremony.

According to reports, Deepika and Ranveer will get married twice - in a traditional Konkani style wedding (given Deepika's roots, belonging to the Saraswat Brahmin community from Karnataka and mother tongue Konkani) on November 14 and a Sindhi wedding ceremony (given Ranveer's roots) on November 15.

The wedding ceremony will be attended by family and friends including Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The security is super high and now reports suggest that the whole villa is under lockdown for this whole week. Yes, the same was open to the public until Sunday (November 11).

Talking about the location, the villa where the two families are staying was a monastery seven centuries ago and the only way to get inside the villa is by hiking up a two-and-a-half km trail.

According to reports, the ceremony will mostly take place in a picturesque location that overlooks the villa's beautiful gardens which also have some Roman statues.

The hotels in the region are housed inside old buildings which have been carefully updated with modern facilities with no compromise made to the history of the buildings.

Reports also suggest that the couple will be donning Sabyasachi outfits for their wedding. They will be hosting two wedding receptions – in Mumbai and Bengaluru after they return to India and later they will go for their honeymoon in the first week of December.
