The documentary features insights from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who envisioned the project during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat. It traces the meticulous process of crafting the Statue of Unity, which began in 2013 with the laying of the foundation stone in Kevadia, Gujarat, and culminated in the construction of the 182-meter-tall statue, symbolizing the constituencies in Gujarat's State Legislative Assembly.

In addition to showcasing lesser-known aspects of the project, the film highlights PM Modi's innovative approach to sourcing materials, including iron contributed by over 600,000 villages and soil from across the nation. These initiatives echo Sardar Patel's call to unity during the independence movement.

The documentary also sheds light on the socio-economic impact of the project, portraying the transformation of Kevadia into a thriving tourist destination and the empowerment of local communities.

Director Anand L Rai commented, "Revolutions are created by people when they come together for a bigger purpose, guided by visionaries who lead and inspire. Sardar Patel was one such visionary who advocated the significance of unity in the process of nation-building."

'Statue of Unity: Ekta Ka Prateek' is set to premiere on History TV18 on March 8, 2024, at 8 pm, offering viewers a captivating journey through the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the remarkable tale behind the iconic Statue of Unity.
