The embarrassing questions from the regional media reporters to singer Chinmayi and colleagues, who stood up against sexual harassment in the film industry, have brought disgrace to the whole journalistic fraternity.
Chennai: The journalists inside the multi-purpose hall of the Reporters' Guild in Chennai were questioning singer Chinmayi Sripaada and three other women, who are survivors of alleged sexual abuse in the film and television industry. The questions posed by the reporters were “beyond the limits of dignity of a journalist”, Chinmayi said. She stood up, joining her palms, requesting the reporters from news channels and newspapers to be a “little sensitive”.
