Ram Charan is poised to receive an honorary doctorate from Vels University in Chennai for his significant contributions to the arts. Scheduled for today, April 13, the actor will also serve as the chief guest at the university's graduation ceremony.

Renowned for his global impact, particularly with the release of the film RRR, Ram Charan's recognition extends to the academic realm with this honorary doctorate from Vels University. Alongside him, notable figures such as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Director Shankar will also be honored, having received similar distinctions in the past. Additionally, Dr. P. Veeramuthuvel, the project coordinator at Chandrayaan, will be among the recipients of honorary doctorates at the event.

On the professional front, Ram Charan is set to grace screens with Game Changer, directed by Shankar. The film, written by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, delves into the narrative of an IAS officer striving to reform the political landscape. Joining Ram Charan in the cast are acclaimed actors including Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Anjali, Jayaram, and Srikanth. Notably, this venture marks Shankar's Telugu directorial debut, with his much-anticipated Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, slated for a June release. The musical score for Game Changer, composed by S Thaman, has already commenced with the release of its first single.

Moreover, Ram Charan's upcoming projects include a village-based sports drama helmed by director Buchi Babu Sana, tentatively titled RC16. This film features Janhvi Kapoor and Shiva Rajkumar in pivotal roles. Additionally, the actor is gearing up for his 17th movie under the direction of Sukumar.
