Vidya Balan and her fans are excited as she is making her Telugu film industry debut with a biopic on NT Rama Rao (NTR).
Vidya Balan will be seen essaying the role of Basavatarakam, wife of legendary actor-politician NTR in his biopic.
Recently, Vidya met Balakrishna’s family and had even started shooting for the film in Hyderabad.
According to India Today, sources said, she was paid nearly Rs 1.5 crore to play Basavatarakam.
Vidya is known for her high-octane sequences and powerful dialogue delivery that we have seen in her films like Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Begum Jaan and her latest movie Tumhari Sulu.
Talking about the biopic, the multi-talented NTR was an Indian actor, producer, director, editor and politician, who served seven years as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, director Teja was roped in to direct this venture. However, he opted out after having creative differences with Nandamuri Balakrishna, son of NTR and the lead actor, producer of the movie. Later, Krish Jagarlamudi of Gautamiputra Satakarni fame was signed on to direct the biopic.
Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati was allegedly approached to play chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the biopic.
