New Delhi: The much-awaited biopic on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit headlines once again. Lyricist Javed Akhtar took to Twitter to point out that his name has been mentioned in the credits despite not having composed anything for the movie.

He even posted a screenshot of the movie credits to support his post that left netizens flabbergasted. The tweet was shared over 9,000 times and sparked various memes. Some commenters alluded that he had a common name and that the credits were meant for a different Javed Akhtar, while activist and lawyer Prashant Bhushan supported Akhtar and called the credit "defamatory". Others questioned why the lyricist was upset over getting the credit when it is usually the other way around.
