The unfortunate incident occurred as Karthik Prasad, renowned for his role as Baiju in the beloved soap opera 'Mounaragam,' was returning home after a day of shooting. Reports suggest he was struck by a state transport vehicle while walking.

Upon losing consciousness at the scene, local residents swiftly transported him to a nearby private hospital. It was revealed that his injuries were severe, necessitating multiple surgeries. Beena Antony, taking to her social media platform, addressed the concerns of worried fans, confirming the rumors surrounding Karthik Prasad's accident.

She disclosed that Karthik was admitted to a hospital in Trivandrum immediately after the accident. A few of his fellow actors promptly visited him and managed to communicate with him while he was in the ICU. Beena elaborated on the extent of Karthik's injuries, emphasizing that his recovery process would be prolonged. The majority of his injuries were concentrated in his leg, with severe damage to the muscles and skin.

Beena Antony noted that Karthik is currently undergoing surgeries for his injuries. His family has arranged for him to be transferred to a hospital in Kozhikode, his hometown, for better care. While Beena hasn't spoken directly with Karthik, she relayed information from his wife, indicating that he is enduring significant pain and is under medication. Additionally, Karthik has undergone multiple plastic surgeries.
