Bengaluru: Reports claimed that talks between KGF star Yash and popular director Puri Jagannadh are in final stages and that the Kannada actor has agreed to team up with the top Telugu director for his next project Jana Gana Mana.
Jagannadh is all set to make the movie in Kannada and Telugu and then the movie will be dubbed in Hindi and Tamil.
Earlier there were reports that Jagannadh had approached Mahesh Babu for the lead role in Jana Gana Mana.
The movie was supposed to go on floors in 2016. In fact, it was Jagannadh who gave Mahesh a major hit with Pokiri in 2007.
Even first look of Mahesh in the movie Jana Gana Mana was released. But later, for reasons unknown the project did not proceed further.
Currently, Yash is busy with the shooting of much-awaited movie KGF-2.
However, there is no official confirmation on finalising the lead star cast of Jana Gana Mana. Neither Yash nor Jagannadh have spoken publically on this.
Jagannadh is known for his movies like Badri, Pokiri, Desamuduru, Temper among other films. He has also directed a Kannada film Appu, starring Puneeth Rajkumar, that was a blockbuster hit.
