Chennai: Tamil actor Jyothika has begun shooting for an untitled comedy entertainer that is being directed by S Kalyan. The film produced by husband Suriya’s home banner, 2D Entertainment, marks his 11th production. The shoot began with a small pooja on Sunday morning with several actors from the industry also present.

This yet-to-be-titled film with Kalyan is said to be another women-centric film from Jyothika, who made her come back in the blockbuster 36 Vayadhinile which was also produced by Suriya. Director Kalyan is not just directing the film, but has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogues for it.

Music composer Vishal Chandrasekhar of Jil Jung Juk has been roped in to score the music for the film. The principal shooting is expected to begin on Monday in Chennai. Actors Revathi, Mansoor Ali Khan, and director Bramma were also present for the pooja ceremony.

Jyothika’s last movie was Radha Mohan's Kaatrin Mozhi which was an official remake of Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu. The film did decently well at the box-office and was critically acclaimed.

Meanwhile, Jyothika has already wrapped up the shoot of yet another untitled film with debutant director Raj. This is expected to hit the screens sometime later this year.
