The movement was initiated by actor Tanushree Dutta when she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of their 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss. After her accusations, Nana Patekar stepped down from Housefull 4 and lodged a complaint against Dutta. In this storm, many other big names from the Bollywood and other industries cropped up such as Sajid Khan, M J Akbar, Alok Nath, Vikas Behl and Anu Malik as well among others.

In fact, BJP leader Suraj Pal Amu went on to say that he will give Rs 10 crore to the person who will behead Deepika.
