Siddhant Chaturvedi, known for his remarkable performance in 'Gully Boy' alongside Ranveer Singh, recently shared some interesting insights during a conversation with The Lallantop. While the actor has made a significant mark in the industry, it came to light that he turned down an offer for a role in the film 'Brahmastra,' which led to him being blacklisted in the casting circuit.

Reflecting on the incident, Chaturvedi mentioned, 'Mujhe blacklist kar diya gaya casting se. Blacklist kar diya ki ye toh pagal hai ladka. Badnaam ho gaya tha main casting circuit mein ki ye select ho ke na bol deta hai.' He further elaborated on the situation, revealing that the offer came about a month before the release of 'Gully Boy.' The role in 'Brahmastra' was offered to him without a script or audition, simply based on his martial arts skills, as it was an action fantasy film featuring a superhero character.

Despite the prestigious opportunity with Dharma Productions, Chaturvedi declined the role as he felt it lacked substance. He explained, 'Who will watch me if Amitabh Bachchan is there, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are there together.' The actor emphasized the importance of having substantial dialogue to understand the character's depth, which he felt was missing in the offer.

Directed by Arjun Varain Singh, the film is a collaborative effort between Excel Entertainment's Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Tiger Baby's Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar. 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' delves into the intricacies of friendship, aspirations, relationships, and emotions, providing audiences with a relatable journey portrayed through the lives of its characters Imaad, Ahana, and Neil.
