Mumbai: While the sacrifices of the brave men on Indian borders make us proud and safe every day, January 15 is the day earmarked to honour the conception of Indian defence forces. Army Day is celebrated today every year in India to recognise Field Marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army in 1949.

Among other celebrations, on the 70th Army Day, you can also catch up with documentaries narrated by Kargil war veteran Major General GD Bakshi. Fall of Dhaka is based on the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, and Turning Point At Tololing is a special feature on the 1999 Kargil War. The specials will be aired on Epic Tv Channel.

The commemorative screening kickstarts 1 pm onwards and will also feature hour-long episodes from Regiment Diaries, including details about the Punjab Regiment, Madras Engineers Group, Rajput Regiment and the Jat Regiment.

You can watch the shows on your television sets or download the Epic Channel app on Google or Apple play store.
