Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday afternoon informed his fans that he is cancelling the weekly meet and greet ritual due to his ill health.

The 76-year-old actor, who sees his admirers every Sunday at his house Jalsa in Juhu for the past 36 years, said he might be in pain, but requested his fans not to worry.

"...Not doing the Sunday Darshan today... In bed... Pain .. Inform all, nothing to worry, but unable to come out," Bachchan wrote on his blog.

Every week on Sunday, Amitabh regularly meets and greets his fans outside Jalsa. Hundreds of people flock outside the gates of Jalsa as Bachchan and sometimes his family members like Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya Bachchan are also seen greeting their fans. They are also seen waving at them from a pedestal within the premises of Jalsa.
