The movie delves into the fascinating and untold true story of Amar Singh Chamkila, Punjab's original rockstar and the highest record-selling artist of his era, often dubbed as the 'Elvis Presley of Punjab'. Chamkila's music was deeply rooted in Punjabi village life, exploring themes of extra-marital relationships, coming of age, drinking, drug use, and the fiery personalities of Punjabi men.

In a motion poster shared on social media, Diljit Dosanjh, who portrays the titular character, is seen expressing his understanding of what audiences desire to hear and enjoy, promising to deliver just that.

Parineeti Chopra co-stars as Amarjot, Chamkila's wife and singing partner, adding depth to the narrative.

Renowned musician AR Rahman is leading the music direction for the film, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. Notably, both Diljit and Parineeti have contributed their voices to some of the songs.

One of the film's highlights is its portrayal of live music recordings captured on location, capturing the authenticity and vibrancy of each moment as Diljit and Parineeti perform live in the Akhadaas.

Produced by Mohit Choudhary, Select Media Holdings LLP, Saregama, and Window Seat Films, 'Amar Singh Chamkila' promises to be a unique cinematic experience, shedding light on the life and legacy of a legendary figure in Punjabi music.
