Mumbai: Days later after Kangana Ranaut had called out Bollywood stars for behaving 'irresponsibly' and not commenting on the political situation of the country, actor Alia Bhatt has finally addressed the issue.

Choosing the route of diplomacy once again, Bhatt said, "Listen, I definitely don't have the ability to speak as candidly as Kangana does and I really really respect her for that. And maybe in a way she is right that sometimes we do hold back. Kyunki hum nahi chahte ke, khamakha kyun bolna... My dad always says that there are already so many opinions in the world that the world could do with one less opinion. So, I have an opinion but I will keep it to myself. But kudos to her because she genuinely speaks really well."

However, Ranaut seems to have launched a tirade of sorts against Alia Bhatt. Earlier the Manikarnika star had accused Bhatt of not supporting her films, and when Alia apologised about the same she reportedly said, "I suggested that she grows some spine and supports an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism... if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo’s (Karan Johar) puppet then I don’t consider her successful... I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir is yet to respond to Kangana's barbs. He was recently promoting his upcoming film Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt at the Kumbh Mela 2019 with filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. The logo of the movie was played up on the sky at the mela with the help of 150 drones.
